Chief Operating Officer
Adam Sprague attended the University of New Brunswick where he completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, along with a Diploma in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of New Brunswick. He has also completed MBA courses in Economics and Human Resource Development. His career in IT began early when he started working with a computer reseller called Brunswick Micro Systems (BMS) upon graduating from university in 1997. When BMS was acquired in 1998, Adam was given the opportunity to move to BrunNet and helped the company grow into the largest, independent Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the Province of New Brunswick. In 2006, Adam negotiated the sale of BrunNet’s ISP customer base so the company could turn its focus back to its Value Added Reselling roots.
Adam was named BrunNet’s Chief Operating Officer in 2006 and is responsible for overseeing all operations and setting the strategic direction for the company. He holds several industry-related sales and technical certifications from our vendor partners including HP, Symantec, VMware, Microsoft and Intel. His skillset includes Leadership and Business Management, Technical Sales, Vendor Relations, and Project Management. Adam thoroughly enjoys working in a high-tech industry that is constantly evolving. Adam says that he also, “takes a lot of pride in helping grow a small, New Brunswick-based company.” Outside of the office Adam loves anything sports related, playing guitar, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters Alyssa and Ava.
Adam serves on the Board of the Ignite Fredericton Seed Capital Committee and is a past board member of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce.
Director of Operations
Jeff started with BrunNet in 2007 in an inside sales role. He quickly ascended the ranks and is now a key part of BrunNet’s executive team. His diverse skillset allows him to perform his various tasks including helping the IT staff manage projects and overseeing all procurement and office management functions. Jeff graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Business Administration and a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Economics. He holds several industry-related sales certifications from our vendor partners including HP, Symantec, Adobe and Microsoft. Outside of work Jeff enjoys anything sports related, being outdoors and spending time with his wife and young son.
Senior Account Executive
Pierre is one of BrunNet’s valued and hardworking Senior Sales Executives. Before joining BrunNet, Pierre spent five years as a corporate sales manager for a national computer reseller and previously owned and operated his own computer retail store for 15 years. He is a proven account manager who is always working to ensure our customers get the right solutions to match their environment and budget. Pierre enjoys the employees at BrunNet, and also enjoys dealing with valued customers every day. Pierre says, “I like meeting new people, creating a long-term relationship, and getting to know them on a more personal level. Customers are everything to me.” Pierre holds various sales certifications from HP, Fortinet and Microsoft. Away from the office Pierre spends time with his wife Tanya and two boys Nick and Marc.
Senior Account Executive
Peter has vast amounts of IT sales experience through his previous employment with industry heavy-weights such as Dell, HP, Lexmark, Compaq and Digital Equipment. His professionalism and good nature have contributed to his long-standing relationships across Atlantic Canada. In his role of Senior Account Executive, Peter has assisted BrunNet gain traction into several new markets and accounts.
Scott has been a valued worker since day one. Joining the team in April of 2013, his skills and expertise have allowed to excel with BrunNet. After completing the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) program from college with honors, he joined the world of IT in 2003 and has been practicing this profession since. As the Service Coordinator, Scott makes good use of his extensive experience in customer care, sales, and business to business relationship building. Scott states that, “BrunNet is a well-known and respected company in the community, which had originally drawn me to apply for a position. It is a great feeling working for a company that is growing and being able see the results of my work have a positive impact. I think relationships are the key to any successful company and that is why managing and coordinating this core group of technicians interested me so much. I believe my past work experience brings a new modern skillset to BrunNet and I am proud to be part of this team.”
Scott believes heavily in continual learning and recently became a HP Certified Desktop, Notebook and Workstation Technician.
When away from the office Scott has many interests outside of the IT world and will most often be found with his wife and kids. Being heavily interested in radio, his radio show was the first urban radio show syndicated to over 12 radio stations weekly (in Fredericton, St John, Harlem NY, Toronto, PEI, Ontario and BC). He has also served as a judge for the ECMA® (East Coast Music Awards) and Juno® Music Awards in several categories.
Mike joined BrunNet June of 2016 after graduating from University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During his tenure at UNB Mike focused his studies in marketing after finding he had a passion for the subject. He feels as though he has found his dream job working at BrunNet. “BrunNet is the type of company I aspired to work for. It is a larger business with a small business feel. When you walk in for work in the morning, you are greeted by passionate people doing what they love. It makes the job so much easier working for a company you believe in and a team with such expertise. I love the dedication the company has to its customers. You can tell the staff here really cares about each and every customer and this in turn makes my job of marketing a lot easier.”
Mike grew up around the business seeing it grow and transform from New Brunswick’s largest internet service provider, to one of the Maritimes largest IT value added resellers. “I still have a lot of learning ahead of me” he says “but I am confident I have the right team to lead me to success”.
When Mike is not working he enjoys playing sports and spending time at the cottage with his family. He plays hockey in the winter and spends most of his free time in the summer managing and playing for his local baseball team.
Senior Technical Analysts
Justin is BrunNet’s Senior Technical Analyst and excels at utilizing today’s technology to solve real-world business problems. Justin’s skillset includes Firewall/VPN, Servers, Storage, Networking, Wireless Architecture, Virtualization, and Microsoft Exchange. Justin studied Computer Science for three years and then completed Systems Administration & Networking certificate program through J.O.T. in 1999. He worked as the lead systems technician for a number of computer service companies before landing at BrunNet in 2010. Justin recently became an HP Accredited Technical Professional (ATP) – Storage Solutions and has several other technical certifications from VMware, Lenovo, Symantec and Microsoft. Additionally, side hobbies that Justin takes interest in include computers gaming, riding his sportbike, and spending time with his family.
Jason has been a valued IT professional since 2000. His career began in 1998 when Jason decided to further his education by moving to Fredericton and obtaining a Network Support Diploma from Compu College, after attending Acadia University. One of Jason’s first IT jobs was supporting a small webhosting and design company. He also worked with various organizations on projects throughout the Maritimes and Toronto, before signing on with BrunNet in 2013. Jason is an Information Technology Consultant, who is known for his ability to communicate with clients and accurately identify their overall technology needs. His certifications include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA A+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, and Lenovo Authorized Service Technician. In addition, Jason’s skillset includes network troubleshooting, systems diagnostics, IT infrastructure analysis and design, and Microsoft Office365 deployments. Jason also loves introducing new technologies to clients as he enjoys making a positive impact on their organization. “Opening new products, is like opening presents at Christmas!” he often says. Aside from his love for computers, he is also an active member of the Fredericton District Soccer Association as a board member and coach. Outside of work he can be found consuming most televised sports, mountain biking the back trails of Fredericton and of course, napping.
Allan has been with BrunNet since May 2013, and is a valued Service Technician. With his hard working attitude and dedicated interest in IT equipment, he makes a great addition to the team. Allan is known to be extremely technical and enjoys being able to find a solution to any problem. Away from the office Allan enjoys to work around the yard, and spend time with family and friends.
Growing up in Saint John, Courtney relocated to Fredericton to attend Eastern College a few years ago. Courtney began working for BrunNet in June of 2016, immediately after graduation from Eastern College from the Network Support Specialist program. Courtney was at the top of her class, graduating her program with honours. She credits these high marks to following her passion. The team at BrunNet was excited to hire her after she completed a work term for school at our offices. Being a problem solver, Courtney is eager to learn and accepts any challenge handed her way. “I feel as though I have my dream job right out of college” she said, adding “not only am I in the field I want to be in but I have great network of support at BrunNet.” Courtney is a great addition to the BrunNet team and brings a positive energy to the office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, tinkering with technology, playing the latest video games, and reading a good book.
Jimmy accepted a position with BrunNet in July of 2016 and has become a valued member of our service team. Jimmy’s knowledge as a technical analyst has made him a great addition to the BrunNet team. Jimmy graduated from Eastern College in 2014 with a diploma in Information Technology gaining many certifications along the way. Before joining BrunNet, Jimmy worked for Best Buy and later as a technical analyst for ABM Integrated solutions. He is bilingual, allowing him to communicate with clients in their preferred language. Jimmy loves to be busy. “Since accepting the position at BrunNet, there has been little downtime at the office. This is refreshing because I am doing what I love here.” quickly adding “the expertise around the office is amazing. I always have someone to turn to if there is something I do not know, and I love adding value to the organization.” To unwind, Jimmy enjoys playing computer games, hanging out with family and friends, and keeping up with the latest around the tech world.
